I’ve just posted a new video! Today I want to share with you one of the most powerful things we can do to improve our digestive health. And as you may know, good digestive health is essential to overall health and vitality.

It’s SO simple that people often overlook it and don’t believe just how amazing it is. The secret is CHEWING! Yes it’s that simple, but it’s not necessarily easy to do all the time. When I say chewing, I mean REALLY chewing every single bite until it’s totally liquefied and thoroughly mixed with saliva.

Even liquids like soups and smoothies need to be properly chewed to mix them with saliva.

This applies to everything, whether it’s a steak or a smoothie. Yes even liquids like soups and smoothies should be chewed to mix saliva in with them. When we really chew, and as a result really taste (and hopefully savor) our food, we are using the part of our digestion over which we have conscious control, to take some of the burden off the parts further down over which we have less conscious control.

Properly chewing our food until every bite is totally liquefied and thoroughly coated with saliva is one of the most powerful things we can do to improve digestive health.
When we really chew and taste things properly the signals sent from the taste buds to the brain allow it to alert the organs lower in the digestive tract to prepare for what’s headed their way soon.

Properly chewing our food until every bite is totally liquefied and thoroughly coated with saliva is one of the most powerful things we can do to improve digestive health.

Also when we really taste and chew things, we eat more slowly, which gives us a better chance of not over-eating. I’ve seen patients heal decades of chronic heartburn and indigestion with this one thing! I hope you’ll give it try and I thank you for watching!
